"The Moment When..." is a series of artworks that delves deep into the realm of emotions through the medium of still life. In this series, Yulia Ani embarks on a journey to process her own emotional residue that has led to her eating disorder, while simultaneously exploring her personal spiritual nourishment.

Unlike traditional Dutch still life paintings, which often evoke a sense of meditative tranquility and abundance, "The Moment When.." aims to capture a vibrant, dynamic, and emotional essence - a "natur mobile" filled with tumultuous life.

Each artwork in this series serves as a window into a specific emotional experience - not merely isolated feelings like grief or joy, but rather the artist's unique emotional cocktail. Created over the span of one year, the artworks are presented in pairs or small groups, each reflecting a distinct period and emotional state of the artist.

The series was preseted in a solo exhibition at GlogauAir in 2024.
